New B at The Z
Zeiterion presents New B at The Z on May 23. The concert features New Bedford MCs Caliph, Hendrick Hernandez-Resto, and Siahlaw. Tickets start at $29.
The performers share the stage with DJ Fresco and The Seshn Band. The set blends their songs into one performance. Each artist reworks material to feature the others. The approach spotlights collaboration and a joint commitment to hip hop.
Workshops run from May 15 through May 21. Sessions include MCing, DJing, breakdancing, graffiti, and knowledge. Instructors include the headliners, Maia Livramento, Eden Soares, DJ Anghelli, Junnyaah, and Big Chan.
The artists also led competitions in MC and rap, visual flyer design, and beat production. Students at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School contributed to the stage design.
