NBSO Presents Music of Renewal

The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra will present “Music of Renewal” on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 3 p.m. at the Kilburn Event Center. Music Director Yaniv Dinur will lead the orchestra in a program designed to bring audiences closer to the music, with seating arranged in the round for an intimate experience.

The concert opens with Mozart’s “Sinfonia Concertante for Winds,” spotlighting principal musicians Laura Shamu, Nicholas Brown, Rachel Juszczak, and Michael Bellofatto. Works by Antônio Carlos Gomes, Evencio Castellanos, Antonio Estévez, and Arturo Márquez round out the afternoon, blending elegance, rhythm, and energy.

Sangha Yoga New Bedford will offer a pre-concert session from 2 to 3 p.m.
