Monoline Calligraphy with Rick Paulus

Rick Paulus, former chief calligrapher at the White House, leads a monoline class beginning March 10 at the Westport Art Group. Focus centers on the expressive monoline letter and its roots in Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and modern design.
Color and play drive the work.
Materials include watercolor, gouache, masking fluid, and inks. Beginners are welcome. Experienced calligraphers can expand their range and voice.
Class runs six weeks, March 10 through April 14, on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Enrollment is limited to 12. WAG members receive a 20 percent discount.
