Molly Little Film Series: Post-Impressionism, The Beginnings of Modern Art

The Molly Little Film Series is a six-week focus on post-impressionism and the beginnings of modern art. Screenings run Tuesdays from Jan. 20 through Feb. 24, from 11 a.m. to noon, at Southworth Library. Snow dates are March 3 and March 10.

This session looks at artists who moved beyond Impressionism, using bold color, expressive form, and symbolism to reshape art history. Weekly topics include Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Camille Pissarro, Georges Seurat, Paul Gauguin, Suzanne Valadon, Henri Rousseau, and Gustav Klimt.
