Moby-Dick Book Club at New Bedford Whaling Museum
October 20 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
The New Bedford Whaling Museum will host the second session of its virtual “Moby-Dick” Book Club on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Melville scholars Bob Wallace and Jennifer Baker will lead the discussion, covering chapters 40 through 90 of Herman Melville’s novel. Marina Wells, the museum’s assistant curator of history and culture, will moderate.
The three-part series meets monthly through November in preparation for the museum’s 31st Moby-Dick Marathon on Jan. 9, 2027. Participants may join individual sessions and read at their own pace.
