Mill Town Art Exhibit at Narrows

The Mill Town Art Exhibit will be on view from Friday, Sept. 13, through Friday, Nov. 29, at Narrows. A public opening reception will take place on Friday, September 20, from noon to 2 p.m.

Artist Sheila Oliveira presents work that reinterprets the photography of Lewis Wickes Hine with a contemporary lens on the realities of early 20th-century mill life. Through reimagined images and sculptural pieces made from vintage mill machinery, the exhibition explores themes of child labor, industrial hardship, and the lives of textile workers.
