Memorial Day Ceremonies: Wareham

Wareham will mark Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, with ceremonies across town honoring those who served and veterans who died in service to the country.
The lineup includes an invocation, the Pledge of Allegiance, the presentation of arms, wreath-laying, an honor guard, and the playing of taps. Participants include the Dudley L. Brown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Wareham Minutemen and militia companies, the high school JROTC, and local veterans.
Morning events begin at 8:30 a.m. at Dudley L. Brown Square, followed by Agawam Cemetery at 9 a.m., St. Patrick’s Cemetery at 9:30 a.m., Centre Cemetery at 10 a.m., Centre Park Memorial at 10:30 a.m., and Town Hall Memorial at 11 a.m.
Residents are encouraged to attend a nearby ceremony and honor veterans during the nation’s 250th anniversary year.
