Marsh Island Fairhaven Cleanup

Operation Clean Sweep will hold an Armed Forces Day cleanup on May 16 at Marsh Island in Fairhaven. Volunteers will meet at the bottom of Taber Street from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Armed Forces Day honors active duty service members from all branches of the U.S. military. Observed each May, the day recognizes their service, dedication, and contributions to the country.
Pre-registration is encouraged to help organizers plan volunteer support. Registration is available online or by calling 508-989-9049. Volunteers may also sign up at the Operation Clean Sweep headquarters table on cleanup day. Bags and tools will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles.
Operation Clean Sweep organizes community cleanups across New Bedford from April through September with support from volunteers, city services, and local businesses. The effort aims to help create a cleaner and safer city for future generations.
