Marimba 502 and Conviteras De NB at The Vault

New Bedford gets a taste of Guatemala on Saturday, Aug. 22, when Gran Súper Bailazo Chapín performs at The Vault. The show runs from 8:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Marimba 502 leads the lineup with traditional Guatemalan marimba and dance music. The group plays regional music rooted in Guatemala and has appeared in both Guatemala and the United States. Its recorded catalog includes five albums since 2020. Recent releases include “El Convite De Mi Pueblo” and “(El Grito) Yo Soy Puro Guatemalteco.”
DJ Eddy keeps the party moving with a DJ set.
Conviteras de NB draws on Guatemala’s culture, known for music, colorful costumes, and group dancing.
