Local Author Talk: Walter James Sylvia — Noumena

Walter James Sylvia will read from and discuss his book Noumena on May 13 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the New Bedford Free Public Library. Admission is free.
“Noumena” blends memoir, fiction, and philosophy through a nonlinear narrative focused on identity, addiction, and spiritual rebirth. Organizers describe the book as surreal and meditative in tone.
Sylvia, a lifelong New Bedford resident, spent decades as a singer-songwriter and city worker. He now advocates for the homeless and helps lead local recovery groups.
Books will be available for purchase during the event.
