Live From Laurel Canyon at The Z

“Live From Laurel Canyon” features live music and storytelling inspired by some of the most influential songwriters of the 1960s and 1970s. The show focuses on the artists who lived and created music in the Laurel Canyon neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Like Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco and Greenwich Village in New York City, Laurel Canyon became a gathering place for musicians. Artists shared ideas and helped shape the folk rock sound that changed American pop music.
The program includes songs made famous by The Mamas & the Papas, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, The Doors, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, James Taylor, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, America, and Eagles.
Performers share stories behind the songs and the artists who wrote them. The result is a look back at a defining moment in American pop music.
Tickets are $25 to 45 plus fees.
