Intro to Bird Carving Workshop

Students make a hand-painted bird in this beginner-friendly wood carving workshop. Participants choose a red cardinal, piping plover, or chickadee, carved from pre-cut pine or basswood. The class fee is $65.
Instructor Jason walks through each step, from carving and sanding to painting and finishing. All tools and materials are provided.
The workshop is on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the New Bedford Arts and Cultural Emporium, Studio 260.
Open to ages 14 and older who can safely use hand tools.
