The Z hosts a special screening of the award-winning documentary “In the Whale: The Greatest Fish Story Ever Told” includes a post-show Q&A with filmmaker David Abel. Tickets are $15.
This true story is about local lobster diver Michael Packard, who was briefly caught in a whale’s mouth off Provincetown in 2021. It examines events before, during, and after the encounter.
A discussion follows the film with Abel, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and the film’s writer, director, and producer. The Whale earned the Audience Choice Award at the 2023 New Hampshire Film Festival and Best Feature Film at the Green Film Festival in San Francisco, along with other honors.
