Heroes and Sheroes of the Underground Railroad

Members of the New Bedford Historical Society will highlight lesser-known local heroes and sheroes of the Underground Railroad in New Bedford on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the New Bedford Free Public Library.
Their efforts to support freedom seekers and promote democratic values and shared humanity helped make New Bedford an important stop.
