Hand Building with Clay: Beyond the Wheel

A four-week hand-building with ceramics class runs on Mondays, August 17, 24, 31 & September 7. The fee is $210 for members and $235 for nonmembers. Materials are included.
Students will skip the pottery wheel and work directly with clay using hands-on techniques. Projects may include mugs, plates, and sculpted pieces with unique shapes and details. The class also introduces molds and other methods that enable greater creativity and flexibility.
The course works well for beginners and for those with wheel-throwing experience who want to try something different and build new skills.
