First Friday: Texas Street Revival

The next First Friday at the Whaling Museum is on April 3 with a live performance by Providence-based band Texas Street Revival. Doors open at 5 p.m. The program begins at 6 p.m. and runs about 90 minutes.

Tickets are $12.50 for members and $25 for the general public.

The band blends blues, funk, and roots rock. Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Bill Cook leads the group with drummer Glenn Alexander. The six-piece lineup also includes Mark Garabian on bass, Mike Cordeiro on keyboards, Tyler Volucci on saxophone, and Bill Lehourites on guitar.

Their latest album, Deep Black Sea, expands the band’s sound with layered arrangements and soulful melodies.

First Fridays invite visitors to explore museum galleries after hours while enjoying live music. A cash bar and complimentary lite bites from D&D Catering will be available.
