Elephant Appreciation Day at BPZOO
September 24 @ 11:00 am

Elephant Appreciation Day at Buttonwood Park Zoo will commemorate two of its most beloved inhabitants. Among North America’s oldest Asian elephants, Emily and Ruth, are turning 65 and 59, respectively. This special day will include educational activities from 11 a.m.–2 p.m., and a happy birthday sing-a-long and enrichment happening at 1 p.m.
In their honor, BPZOO is raising money for the International Elephant Foundation, a non-profit corporation of individuals and institutions dedicated to protecting African and Asian Elephants worldwide.
Donations of unopened shelled peanuts, yogurt-covered raisins, and dried fruit are welcome to treat the two elephants.
