Dolly Parton Tribute featuring Steel Magnolias

On Saturday, Sept. 12 at 3:30 p.m., Zeiterion will honor Dolly Parton with a special screening of “Steel Magnolias.” Guests are encouraged to wear Dolly-inspired attire and join a pre-show sing-along of her best-known songs.
The 1989 comedy-drama follows a close-knit group of Southern women who support one another through life’s joys and hardships. The cast includes Sally Field, Dolly Parton, Shirley MacLaine, Daryl Hannah, Olympia Dukakis, and Julia Roberts.
Net proceeds will benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Tickets are $12 and available at Zeiterion.org, by calling 508-994-2900, or at the box office at 684 Purchase St., New Bedford.
