Dead Whale City: Ben Berke’s Photographs of New Bedford

Ben Berke presents 18 framed color photographs. The New Bedford photographer and journalist’s work reflects the city’s history as it stands today. The images highlight weathered buildings, residents, and landscapes. Berke made the photographs over five years while reporting for the local NPR station.
An opening reception will be held Saturday, March 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Douglass Gallery at Gallery X. The show runs March 18 through April 18. Admission is free.
