Create Your Own Universe: Comic Workshop for Teens

Create your own comic universe in this four-session workshop led by illustrator Isiah Botelho. Participants learn how to turn ideas into finished pages using the tools and techniques of working comic artists.

Classes are hands-on and fast-paced, focusing on character design, panel layout, and visual storytelling. Students practice showing emotion, action, and pacing while studying what makes professional comic pages work.

Over four weeks, participants develop original characters, build a short comic sequence, and assemble a mini comic or zine to take home. No experience is required, and all materials are provided.
