Community Meeting for Proposed New Bedford RiverWalk

The City of New Bedford will hold a community meeting on the proposed New Bedford RiverWalk on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Alma Del Mar Charter School, 515 Belleville Ave.
The meeting provides an overview of the proposed 1.5-mile habitat restoration and recreational path planned between Coggeshall Street and Hadley Street. Members of the project team will be available to discuss the pedestrian path, community benefits, and potential impacts.
Portuguese and Spanish interpretation will be provided. Requests for other language services must be submitted by Dec. 29.
