City Property Committee meeting
The City Property Committee meets Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
Redevelopment plans for two former New Bedford fire stations top the agenda. Members are expected to recommend approval of proposals from South Coast Investments, Inc., for the former Fire Station No. 3 at 834 Kempton St., and from Gwozdz Development for the former Fire Station No. 11 at 754 Brock Ave. A related order authorizing the sale of both properties will also be considered.
Competing proposals from Divine Contractors, Inc. and Freedom Realty Group for both former fire stations are also on the agenda. No further action is expected.
Also scheduled for no further action are a 2019 communication regarding the Clark Cove Beach Nourishment Project and a tabled motion seeking discussion about opening the Ashley Park Warming House community room for a senior citizen day program and other possible city services at the site.
