City Ordinance Committee meeting
The Ordinance Committee meets on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers, Room 214.
Agenda:
Committee members will consider several ordinances proposed by Mayor Jon Mitchell that would reorganize parts of the city government and update the city code.
The proposals include creating a Department of Health and Human Services, moving oversight of the Board of Health to the new department, and making related changes to city boards, the Licensing Board, parks and recreation, and veterans services.
Residents needing ADA accommodations should contact the City Council Office at least 48 hours before the meeting. The meeting will be livestreamed and recorded on the city website under Meetings.
