Cinema 169: The Wicker Man at Gallery X

On Friday, July 17, Gallery X will screen the 1973 folk horror classic “The Wicker Man” as part of its Cinema 169 film series. The screening ties in with the gallery’s “Jesters & Fools” exhibition.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The film begins at 7 p.m. Reservations are recommended but not required.
Admission is open to the public. A $5 donation is recommended, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
The film is directed by Robin Hardy. It follows a police sergeant investigating the disappearance of a young girl on a remote Scottish island. The cast includes Edward Woodward, Christopher Lee, and Britt Ekland.
Cinema 169 is supported in part by a grant from the New Bedford Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
