Cinema 169: The Matrix

Gallery X will screen the 1999 science fiction classic The Matrix on Friday, June 19, as part of its Cinema 169 series. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The free showing begins at 7 p.m.
The film connects with the gallery’s QUEER FUTURES exhibition. Reservations are recommended but not required. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Cinema 169 receives support from the New Bedford Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
The story follows a computer programmer named Neo as he is pulled into a battle that challenges everything he believes about reality. Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie Ann Moss, and Hugo Weaving lead the cast.
