Cinema 169: The Dead Zone

Gallery X will present “The Dead Zone” on Friday, Sept. 26, as part of its Cinema 169 film series. The series is inspired by the visual art exhibitions currently on view, including the TOUCH TANK exhibition.

The 1983 science fiction thriller is directed by David Cronenberg and based on the novel by Stephen King. The film stars Christopher Walken, Brooke Adams, Tom Skerritt, Herbert Lom, and Colleen Dewhurst. Walken plays a teacher who awakens from a five-year coma with supernatural powers. He struggles to use his gift for good while confronting the life he lost.

The screening is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available for purchase inside Gallery X. Reservations are not required but are encouraged.
