Cape Verdean Poetry Festival

La Soul Renaissance’s fourth annual Cape Verdean Poetry Festival is on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Cape Verdean Veterans Memorial Hall from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
This is for those 21 and older. Admission is free.
Music will be provided by DJ Lefty. Featured poets include Sara Lopes, Maia Livramento, and Jeannie Nunes. Erik Andrade will serve as host.
A Cape Verdean poetry open mic begins sign-ups at 9 p.m. Additional poets are expected to be announced.
