Call for Artists: Analog: An Antidote to AI Art

September 16 - September 24

The New Bedford Art Museum is seeking artists for Analog: An Antidote to AI Art, an exhibition exploring what makes art distinctly human in an era shaped by artificial intelligence.

Entry deadline: Sept. 24
Entry fee: $40 for five images, plus $5 for each additional image, up to 10 images
Prizes: $1,000 for first place; $500 for second place

Artists may submit pieces in visual art media and genres including painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, textiles, installation, mixed media, drawing, jewelry and sound art. Submissions should reflect personal vision, experimentation, materiality and creative process.

The exhibit highlights qualities algorithms cannot replicate, including intuition, memory, touch, chance, personal history, and the imperfections of the creative process.

Roddy Schrock is a sound artist and former director of Eyebeam who will serve as juror. He has worked as an artist, educator, curator, and arts administrator in the United States and internationally.
