Call for Art: 2026 Seaport Art Walk Invites Artists to Create “Good Trouble”
The Seaport Art Walk is seeking proposals for its 2026 outdoor exhibition in New Bedford. This year’s theme is “Good Trouble.” It takes its cue from the late U.S. Rep. John Lewis and the city’s longtime ties to activism. Artists can submit new or existing temporary sculptures, murals, or photography.
Exhibition dates run from July 9 through Oct. 31, 2026, along the waterfront and in the Seaport Cultural District. Funding is available up to $2,500 for new outdoor work, $1,000 for existing outdoor work, and $250 for digital gallery submissions. Selected artists receive promotion and an invitation to present their work during the AHA! Night opening on July 9, 2026.
