Benmont Tench at Narrows

Benmont Tench is a founding member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and is widely regarded as one of contemporary music’s leading keyboard players. He has contributed to every Heartbreakers recording and is known for his skill on piano, organ, and other keyboard instruments.

Beyond his work with the band, Tench has recorded with a wide range of artists including Stevie Nicks, Willie Nelson, Green Day, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, the Chicks, the Replacements, John Prine, Waylon Jennings, John Fogerty, Elvis Costello, the Rolling Stones, and Johnny Cash. Producer Jimmy Iovine has said Tench’s playing can elevate any track simply by being more prominent in the mix.
