Ben Shattuck book talk

Spinner Publications will mark its 45th anniversary with an author talk featuring Ben Shattuck on Wednesday, Aug. 5 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Wamsutta Club. Shattuck will discuss his acclaimed story collection, “The History of Sound,” and the experiences that inspired it. The conversation will explore themes of love, loss, and history, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Visitors can meet the author over hors d’oeuvres, cheese and fruit plates, fresh vegetables, and a cash bar. Tickets are $35.
