Appointments and Briefings Committee meeting

New Bedford’s Appointments and Briefings Committee will meet Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers, Room 214, at City Hall.
Agenda items include:
- Resident concerns about traffic, vehicle noise, parking, and storage facilities
- Appointment of Brian J. Sousa to the Election Commission
- A proposed marijuana retail and manufacturing business at 301 Herman Melville Blvd.
- County Street construction and its effect on local businesses
- South End concerns involving the sewage treatment facility and odors
- Proposed South Coast Renewables project discussion
Several older matters involving historic properties and parking near the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal are also on the agenda. The meeting will be livestreamed and recorded.
