Amy Helm at Narrows
Narrows Center for the Arts marks its 2,500th show on Thursday, May 14, with Amy Helm. Elizabeth and the Catapult open the show. Doors open at 7 p.m., and music starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $55 in advance and $57 the day of the show, with all fees included.
Helm has built a loyal following as a singer, songwriter, and live performer. She is currently touring in support of her critically acclaimed album Silver City.
The album draws from stories of womanhood in many forms. Songs touch on addiction, heartbreak, family history, and Helm’s life as a single mother and touring musician. The music blends folk, gospel, soul, and the roots influences that shaped her early years.
