AHA! Night’s Summer in the Seaport

AHA! Night’s Summer in the Seaport turns downtown into a seaside block party with live music, local vendors, sketch stations and a free spoken‑word tribute.
Look to the yellow AHA! Flags as guides. And grab free parking at Elm Street or the Zeiterion garage.
At the Fishing Heritage Center, the band Immuter kicks things off at 5 p.m. Later, at 6:30 p.m., local scallop-shuckers compete. Around them, seafood tastings and fishing demos pull in a crowd.
The Whaling Museum screens “Sea Lions: Life by a Whiskera” at 6 p.m. The short 3D film is 20 minutes long, but it feels like a plunge into cold water. Before or after, drop by the museum’s sketch wall between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Grab a pencil and draw something salty.
At Gallery X, the vibe shifts. A spoken-word tribute to Everett Hoagland, the city’s first poet laureate, starts at 5:30 p.m. Local poets and storytellers take turns honoring his life and work.
One street over, Puzzical Chairs & Pops unfolds in bursts of laughter and music. Teams race to finish jigsaw puzzles before the song ends. Then they switch partners. Early arrivals get free Sorbae popsicles.
