250 Years: Music of America at Grace Episcopal Church

Greater New Bedford Choral Society will mark America’s 250th anniversary with a spring concert on Sunday, May 3, at 3:30 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. Tickets are $20 general admission and $30 VIP.
The program features a mix of classical works and timeless favorites. Selections include Randall Thompson’s “Frostiana,” Aaron Copland’s “Simple Gifts,” spirituals, Americana tunes, and standards such as “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “What a Wonderful World.” Audience sing-alongs are also planned.
Founded in 1964, Greater New Bedford Choral Society is a non-audition SATB choir serving southeastern Massachusetts. Ensemble recently welcomed new artistic director Brian Dean Sousa, a New Bedford native with degrees from Westminster Choir College and James Madison University.
