Latin Jazz Summer & Salsa Night at the Whaling Museum
Latin Jazz Summer & Salsa Night fills the Whaling Museum with tropical beats on Friday, Aug. 7. Museum doors open at 5 p.m., with live music beginning at 7 p.m. in the Harbor View Gallery. Tickets are $25 for public or $12.50 for Museum Members.
Jesús Andujar y Su Grupo Sazón is a six-piece orchestra that performs salsa, cha cha, merengue, and Latin jazz throughout the evening.
Andujar was born in the Dominican Republic and built his career as a percussionist. He later studied in New York City and performed with leading bands in Puerto Rico. His ensemble combines Afro-Caribbean rhythms and jazz.
A cash bar and light refreshments are available.
