Fairhaven Acushnet Land Preservation Trust’s annual river cleanup

Volunteers are invited to help clear the Acushnet River during the Fairhaven Acushnet Land Preservation Trust’s annual river cleanup on Saturday, July 11 from 8 a.m. to noon . Participants should meet at White’s Factory, 110 Hamlin St., Acushnet.
The cleanup will remove debris and clear pathways to support the river herring migration while raising awareness of the land trust’s conservation efforts. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water shoes, bathing suits, waders, and towels.
Marcus Hendricks, the land manager and steward, and FALPT President Cora Pierce will be available.
