New Moon Roller Disco
New Moon Roller Disco returns Saturday, June 20, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Buttonwood Park basketball courts in New Bedford, featuring music by resident DJs Baye, Corey Jones, and Neil Matheson.
Skaters should bring quad or inline skates and must sign a liability waiver at check-in. Those under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign. Space will also be available for dancing and socializing.
Southcoast Shipwreckers Junior Roller Derby will provide a limited number of free loaner skates. A children’s lesson begins at 3 p.m., followed by an adult lesson at 3:30 p.m., with early arrival encouraged. Only roller and inline skates are allowed.
The program is supported in part by the New Bedford Local Cultural Council, administered by the Mass Cultural Council.
