May 14 - June 1
Scholarships remain available for WAGKids Summer Camp sessions in July and August. The program serves children ages 7 to 11 who are entering second grade. Applications are available at www.westportartgroup.com. Deadline is Monday, June 1. Sessions run July 6 to 10 and Aug. 10 to 14.
WAG’s summer art camps fill quickly. A limited number of spots are reserved for scholarship recipients. Morning sessions focus on hands-on art with a range of themes and materials. Activities include painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, and printmaking. All materials are provided. Camp meets at the air-conditioned WAG building on Main Road in Westport Point.
Support for the scholarship program comes in part from the Westport Cultural Council, a local agency backed by the Helen E. Ellis Charitable Trust and administered by Bank of America.
