Water, Whaleboats & Winners: A Festa by the Sea

A free waterfront festival runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 at the Community Boating Center in Clark’s Cove. The event marks the close of the SouthCoast Snackdown.
Highlights include the crowning of this year’s Nata Champions and a live pastéis de nata eating contest. Food trucks and family activities will be on site.
Visitors can try rowing an Azorean whaleboat with the Azorean Maritime Heritage Society or go sailing with the Community Boating Center. Paddleboarding and kayaking will also be available.
The event celebrates the region’s connection to the water and the role of food in bringing people together.
