Step Afrika! is renowned for its distinctive stepping style, combining the percussive movement of African American fraternities and sororities with vibrant traditional African dance and dynamic contemporary forms. Every performance brings live music, storytelling, humor, and interactive audience participation.

Founded in 1994 by C. Brian Williams, Step Afrika! has toured more than 60 countries. It also serves as Washington, D.C.’s cultural ambassador. The company promotes stepping as an educational tool, focusing on teamwork, academic success, and cross-cultural understanding.
