New Bedford Science Café

The next New Bedford Science Café will meet on Tuesday, April 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Last Round Bar & Grille.
Deborah Gordon will discuss “The Escape Artist: Methane and New Tools to Detect the Super-Potent Climate Pollutant.” Gordon leads the Oil & Gas Solutions Initiative for the Rocky Mountain Institute’s Climate Intelligence Program and is a senior fellow at Brown University’s Watson School of International and Public Affairs.
The talk will explore methane emissions from oil and gas operations and new tools used to detect them, including satellites, airborne mapping, and laser technology.
Admission is free, except for beverages. Free parking is available behind the building. Attending is a chance to learn, exchange ideas, and meet others interested in science.
