Annual Earth Day Clean Up in Freetown

The Town of Freetown will hold its annual Earth Day Clean Up on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to noon. A rain date is set for April 12. Residents, families, civic groups, and local businesses are encouraged to take part in the community effort.

Volunteers should register in advance and choose a cleanup location. Participants will check in at assigned pickup points to receive cleanup kits and area maps before beginning work.

A volunteer appreciation gathering will follow from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Freetown Council on Aging, 227 Chace Road in East Freetown. Lunch, Earth Day T-shirts, gift bags from the Freetown Public Library, and a live turtle encounter program by Mass Audubon are planned.
