Special Committee on Special Permits and Licensing

The Special Committee on Special Permits and Licensing will meet on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in City Council chambers at City Hall.
Agenda items include:
- A public hearing on an application from Knd Auto Rentals LLC for a special permit for motor vehicle sales or rentals at Belleville Avenue.
- Councilors will also discuss a motion requesting that city departments study the feasibility of allowing host community agreements for cannabis consumption lounges under new state regulations
- A related motion exploring whether on-site tobacco consumption, commonly known as cigar lounges, could be permitted in the city.
