New Bedford Creative 2026 Grant Announcement

New Bedford Creative will publicly unveil 23 funded projects selected through the 2026 Art Is Everywhere and Wicked Cool Places grant programs.

Grants support local artists, cultural programming, and creative placemaking across the city.

Projects activate public spaces, strengthen neighborhoods, and reflect New Bedford’s diverse cultural identity. Funding comes from the City of New Bedford’s Arts, Culture, and Tourism Fund, with additional support from the Mass Cultural Council Cultural District Initiative, Bristol County Savings Bank, The Leonard and Hilda Kaplan Charitable Foundation, and the SouthCoast Community Foundation.

Speakers include Christina Connelly, Chief Operating Officer of the City of New Bedford; City Council President Ryan Pereira; and President of New Bedford Economic Development Council Tony Sapienza.

Members of the New Bedford Creative Consortium and 2026 grant recipients are expected to attend.
