The Community Canvas Project Event

The Drawing Room will open at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, and remain open until 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4. The 30-hour opening aligns with the Moby-Dick Reading Marathon at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.
Throughout the 30-hour opening, visitors may add to a large communal canvas in The Drawing Room. As readers move through all 135 chapters of Moby-Dick, the artwork will grow alongside the Marathon, reflecting its shared and collaborative spirit. The space is open to readers, visitors, and local residents looking for a place to pause and create.
