America’s 250th Unraveling the Revolutionary Journey of William Rotch Sr. is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 4:30 p.m. Historian Dr. Sarah Crabtree presents an illustrated talk in the RJD parlors based on her research and upcoming book “Quaker, Whaler, Traitor, Spy! The Trials of William Rotch.”

Talk explores the complex life of William Rotch Sr., a Quaker whaler accused of treason by three governments between 1775 and 1795. Story traces his opposition to war and the global business dealings that helped make him one of the wealthiest men in America.
