Homeschool Day at the New Bedford Whaling Museum

Homeschool Day is back at the New Bedford Whaling Museum on Friday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Homeschool families can engage with educational exhibits and hands-on activities designed for a range of ages.
New attractions are featured this year, including the Kids’ Corner and the Interactive Topographic Sand Table. Popular activities such as the Inflatable Whale will also be available. A museum-wide scavenger hunt will challenge participants to find hidden whales placed in new locations throughout the building.
Discounted admission will be offered for homeschool students ages 4 to 18 at a rate of $10 per student. Adult tickets will be available for $12, and children under 3 will be admitted free of charge. Admission includes access to featured exhibits such as the Inflatable Whale, Lagoda Below Deck, and other activity stations.
Families may also choose to purchase tickets for the 25-minute 3D film “Sea Lions,” which will be shown throughout the day. Tickets for the film are $4 per person.
