The Jethros at Acushnet Library

The Acushnet Public Library will mark Play Music on the Porch Day with The Jethros on Saturday, Aug. 30, from noon to 2 p.m. under the pavilion.
A fixture in the New Bedford folk scene, The Jethros are known for their mix of folk, blues, swing, bluegrass, and more. The group has released three albums, contributed to the Southcoast Stage at the New Bedford Folk Festival, and earned a reputation for inventive arrangements and spirited performances.
Play Music on the Porch Day is a global celebration that began in 2018, encouraging musicians and audiences around the world to pause and enjoy live music together.
The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Acushnet Public Library.
