The New Bedford Light columnist Jack Spillane called the whole ordeal “silly” in a recent column, then joined Jim Phillips on WBSM’s Townsquare Sunday to discuss a recent New Bedford District Court magistrate hearing between members of the New Bedford City Council and a pair of political gadflies/citizen journalists.
The whole thing boiled down to “personality conflicts,” Spillane said before they reminisced about other political enthusiasts through their years of reporting in New Bedford.
Spillane and Phillips also discussed homelessness among New Bedford students and the tension between fishermen and the offshore wind industry.
